Hello readers. This is my second SHOW
appearance, so I feel its only right to give you
some background on me and allow you to get
to know me a little bit better.
My name is Egypt Selinda. I was born in reading
PA. I moved to New York days after I was born.
Since the fourth grade, Ive moved up and
down the east coast from Florida to Delaware,
Pennsylvania, New York, you name it. Currently,
I reside in Philadelphia, Pa, though I work in New
York City.

I come from a mixed background, as my mother
is Egyptian and my father is Latin. So, I grew up a
pretty strict, if you can only imagine, lol. Having
over nine brothers and sisters quickly, I turned to
music, dance, the movies and a ton of sports
to help me escape the daily chaos that comes
with a large family. While growing up, there was
no doubt in my mind as to what I wanted to
do, including performing in the theater, singing,
dancing, acting and, especially in a Broadway
setting. This is going to sound weird but here I am
in the middle of the hood and Im performing
scenes from one of my idols Bette Midler movies.
I would rehearse for hours for no other reason
other than that I loved it! All I ever thought of
is performing. I joined everything in school that
pertained to it, and I did every talent show,
and man you couldnt tell me I wasnt living my
dream, lol.

I know most girls dream of modeling as a career,
but for me, performing on Broadway and writing
erotic screenplays has always been my dream. I
made the mistake of going to college for a year,
studying something I had no real interest in. But, it
made my family happy. Recently, Ive made the
decision to follow my heart, and will be starting
school this January for theater and writing.

Each year I set a new goal to try something I
always wanted to do. This year I want to learn
how to snowboard and DJ. I am a die-hard
house, trance, Afro tech, nulu, dubstep, and
indie music fan. Its all about feel good music
on this end. I rather dance to songs that talk
about unity, love and that are soulful with a
positive outlook on how life is really supposed
to be lived. I choose not to be influenced by
trends whether its fashion, music or TV. I am
always in my own world.

My likes in a better half hmmm, well first I
am very opened minded. I dont believe in
looking for a gender, race, age, or a type
when looking for love. I tend to be drawn to
the free spirited, creative soul who views life
as an opportunity for achieving all that life
has to offer. I appreciate someone that will
never settle for less because they know they
could have so much more. But, it has to be a
balance as I cant stand a cocky flashy dude,
thats all about looks, clothes and money. Im
a really down to Mars type chick, so, thats all
I ask for in return.
