Liana Mendoza started "acting up" before she started her career as an
actress. "She was a handful and entertaining to watch" her family
members have been quoted to say. I think men would now agree that she is MORE than a few handfuls with a bangin body like that and
DEFINITELY entertaining to watch.
If this exotic looking beauty has a familiar face to you it may be because you have seen her captivating look on screen before in such films as Crank 2, Internet Dating with Katt Williams, G.I. Joe, The Mailman as Sister Rosalita with Tony Cox and Master P, BETs played by Fame and a TV show that has currently gotten her VERY
noticed (even TMZ had to ask) because it has created a male frenzy as
she plays Trinity on Zanes Sex Chronicles.
"I am very pleased with all of my hard work. I know I am ready for the
next level" she explains. Thats when I catch the hint that not only
was she made for this business with her stunning, playful looks and dedication but the fire in her eyes explains to me why she has been nicknamed "Mendoza the Bulldozer" by her colleagues. "It takes a lot of
dedication, training, preparation and tenacity to make it even as far
as Ive come. My fans make my journey happen...seriously, I love them
more than they know."
When asked about music she says "Music is another passion of mine that I take very seriously as well, I started booking myself for local
shows as a singer at about 13 without my parents permission. I guess
in a way I knew Id have to begin as a self-motivated performer. No
one will do it for you. People can help, but youre on your own in
this business as far as motivation goes."
Mendoza is preparing for the release of her single with the
famed Sleepy Brown (Outkast, Dungeon Family) who was recently an
honoree at VH1s Hip Hop Awards. "I wish I could have gone to NYC with him for that and to see him rock the stage but I was filming another movie, Im sure it went amazing, I have learned so much from Sleepy" she explains. "He named my alter-ego Roxxy, this is the side of me I repressed for so long until now. I get to express this side of myself
through music thanks to him."
In her immediate future she has a few films shes in that are coming out-- "Decisions" starring the late Corey Haim. "Reality Fright Night" which should hit this Halloween that Martin Kove, Vincent Rivera and herself star in and "Im Not Like That No More" starring comedians Felipe Esparza and Paul Rodriguez. This 25-year-old stunner Mendoza, who is of a very mixed ethnicity is mostly Mexican, Spanish and Italian, is now up for bigger and more prominent roles that should be hitting theatres and DVD this year and for many years to follow.
